Hello, I’m Claire. I have been the Nursery Manager since September 2020 and I worked as the Deputy Manager at the nursery since 2006. In addition to my role I am also the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
These roles in the nursery enable me to work very closely with the families of the children who attend, the children’s key people and alongside a range of outside agencies to ensure all children receive the support they require to progress and develop.
I worked as the main lead for communication and interaction, embedding our Spirals groups which support children with English as an additional language, children who are working with Speech and Language therapists, those who are less confident and those with additional needs and passed on my knowledge to Anne – Marie who now implements the groups each week.
My passion is to ensure all children who attend the nursery are given the best start to their education by providing high quality care and teaching through a range of experiences and planned activities.
When I’m at home I enjoy exercising, reading and travelling the world to seek out new experiences for myself.
