My name is Lucy. I started working in the Nursery in 2007. I began volunteering when my daughter attended St Hugh of Lincoln Nursery School.
I qualified as an NNEB Nursery Nurse (NVQ Level 3) in 1992. I had always wanted to work with children from a young age, so whilst I was at school I volunteered at a project called Western Corner, which is a respite centre for children with special needs. After qualifying, I worked at Turbo Teds Day Nursery in Oxford.
I took time out after having my two eldest children. I then worked for over ten years with adults with learning disabilities which worked well around my family life. I went on to have two more children. For two years I worked at Chipping Norton Maternity Hospital. I very much enjoy my job at St Hugh’s and it’s a fun place to be for children!
